We got a New "Buzz Word Bingo" card each morning.

There are reasons I loved my job and reasons I hated it.  Honestly, I fell in love with this company during my interview with Robin Jons.  She sold me because she loved the place so much.  It was all about being positive and assuring that the patients were taken care of.  I was all for that.  Then we got bought out by a company (Nurses In Partnership Inc.)  I thought their CEO was slimy the first time I met him… and he just got worse from there.  Neither he nor Royce followed through with anything they said they were going to do for me… and NEVER gave an explanation why.  One of our Buzz words for Bingo became “Blatant Alcoholism” and that could have been marked off daily for a while.  To top it all off our vendors were upset because they were not being paid.  Our employees were upset because THEY were not being paid (or not paid correctly), we were bouncing payroll checks for crying out loud.  And all the time being told that the company doesn’t have a cash flow problem.  I really hope they were lying to us because if it wasn’t a cash flow issue then it was a Customer Service issue and I find that to be worse!  I started to feel like I was lying every time I told a nurse how much she was going to get paid for a job.  Leslie and Lynne never stood up for the nurses if something went wrong with their pay.

There was a whole day where all we talked about was the ording of this Keg.

That is why I asked to be moved to a different department.  I DO NOT lie.  I can’t.  I also hate feeling slimy when I leave for the day.  Working in Allied was better because at least the AE that I was working with stood up for her people and fixed any pay or lodging issue that came up right away.

But now I am free. I never have to walk in to work and feel trapped.  I am off to better things!  As much as I am having a hard time adjusting to not working it really is better than THAT office was.
